music genres
As Im not very into music, I had a little bit of trouble with this assignment (I don't really know how to recognize music genres). However, I looked up some songs, and for songs I knew I looked up what genre they are so that I could list them in the correct group.
House- Another Love by Tom Odell
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZHwu0uut3k
This is actually one of my favorite songs. The most noticeable sounds in this song are done electronically, and the ones in the background are common instruments such as drums. Also, there are parts in the song where the voice of the singer is kind of distorted electronically so that it sounds different and better. This makes this song fit into technology and electronic.
Techno- Strobe by Death Mouse
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKi9Z-f6qX4
This DJ or character wears a mouse head whenever he performs. It uses electronic devices to create every sound in all of his songs. In addition to this, the mouse head he wears has lights on the eyes and mouth that turn on while he is playing/mixing the music. This makes this DJ to definitely fit into the technological world.
Electro- Can't Stop Me by Afrojack & Shermanology
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnTUwiDDSaQ
Afrojack is an Electro music artist, and just because of that his music uses many electronic sounds that are not only perfectly combined, but also create really active and nice songs that when put together with the singers create amazing songs. I really love this song, it is the type of song that I if its play in a club or party it will turn everyone up
Nineties- Dreams by The Cranberries
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tONsedTRCD4
I really liked this song and I feel like it fits with technology because although you can hear instruments like drums that are not electronic, I can also hear an electronic piano playing. I know how it sounds because I used to play one. Hearing this particular instrument caught my attention. Some sounds in this song are not acoustic but electronic, which makes this song fit in this category of electronic and technology
Punk- London's Burning by The Clash
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCw9_avTlYs
I don't really like punk music because I feel like the artists of this genre force their voices while singing as well as the rhythm feels forced. However, this genre uses electronic instruments such as electric guitars.

performance art
The three performance artists I liked the most are Tony Oursler, Jim Campbell and Woody Vasulka. Tony makes his pictures blurred, which makes you look deeply into the picture for a while and wonder what it actually is. I really like his art because it made me feel like I actually had to stare at it and figure out what I was looking at.
What caught my attention about Campbell's work is that he uses a lot of eyes in his art. I don't know why I have always had an attraction for eyes, and the way he mixes them with art made it look amazing to me. His pieces are also pretty colorful!!
As for Vasulka I found interesting how he uses comparer pictures and convert them to both, pixels and grey scale. I've never seen art like that before, I think it is a quite innovative idea.
I like pretty much all of the artists, however, these three caught my attention more than the other ones.

performance art
For my performance art I combined art and one of the things I like to do the most: work out in open areas. In order to make a work out kind of artistic or different I chose a different outfit from the one I usually wear. This outfit consisted of a life jacket, male swimsuit and a scarf as a turban. One part of my work out consists of doing lunges; for this specific project, I did those lunges through a fountain. I walked through the water (looking silly in my opinion). I basically recreated the idea of working out.
here is the video!

XEROX PROJECT
The idea of this project was to create a 3D piece with 2D scans of our body parts. I chose to do some Christmas ornaments made with prints of my hands. i printed my hands many times (after snacking them), pasted four hands from the wrist, and then crossed the fingers and pasted them. After doing this I got some spheres that I then joined with thread.I can hang them on a Christmas tree or even a wall. They look kind of those chinese lamps.
non sensical product
This assignment required us to create a non sensical product. My invention is called "LaCHINess" as in "laziness" and consists of a plastic item that you can put under your chin and rest on your chest so that you don't get double chin while laying on a bed. I came up with this idea because I love to lay on my bed and use my computer; however, one day I realized that if I keep doing it I will soon have a huge double chin (because of the position). Here is a picture of my product, I think it is quite useful (at least for me). hope you like it!
flip book
Although I made about 3 different designs in my flip book, this is the first one and the one I liked the most (is the one that looks better!)
